your life is art

I’m so excited you’re here!   So many wonderful changes are happening that’s we’re just tickled pink (and green) about.  We’ve got a new look and new logos for a new direction.  Over these past several months Jennifer and I learned something about ourselves as artists. It took that realization to catapult us into what you see before your eyes. She is madly in love with creating wedding imagery and I’m madly in life with creating portrait imagery.  It was like the flood gates had opened at that moment and everything fell into place.  No worries, Love Life Images hasn’t gone anywhere. It stronger than ever with an amazing team of associates and videographers, as well as, a staff we simply could not move forward without.  There’s so much to see.  In the mood for a little Jennifer LOVE?  In the mood for a little Mary LIFE?  Stay for coffee and have a look around.  We’d love to hear from you.

So, here I am with a new logo, new website, new blog and new direction. And for weeks I’ve been lamenting over this blog post, staring at a blank sheet and suffering from writers block. Of course, I want to say something profound. Something that will stop you dead in your tracks.  Something that turns the little light bulb in your head on.  Something life-changing.

But, what comes out of me is all heart.  That wonderful organ that tingles, melts & beats a million miles a minute when something amazing happens in front of it.  Think about those moments that pass us by in an instant, yet settle on our hearts for eternity.  It’s those beautiful little nostalgic blips during our journey through time that stop us dead in our tracks.  All we want to do is remember it forever.  All I want to do is help you remember it forever.  And what’s so beautiful about all of this is that it’s LIFE in all it’s raw glory.  Yum!

During my photojournalism days working for publications I had the opportunity to document in some amazing situations. But what has touched my soul after all those years as a photojournalist were the people that had opened their hearts and homes to my camera – the single mom, the barber in his 60th year of business, the holocaust survivor, the young violinist, and so many more.  All I wanted to do for them was to create a true, story-telling portrait of their life and gift it back to them. It was a moment in my life where I said to myself, “This is it. This is where I belong. This is what I should be doing. This is the missing puzzle piece.”

This is how I feel about documenting family life now.  I’m happiest when I’m in your world making images of all the people that make your heart tingle & melt.  And I’m humbled when you call back and tell me to come back for more.

And so I  scream across the mountain tops with truth in my soul that this is where I belong. This is what I should be doing.  And I can’t wait to share it with you.

Stay tuned for a more interactive Life blog with design inspiration for your walls, unique products, family resources, and so much more.

xoxoxo,

Mary
